Slumdog Millionaire is a 2008 British drama film directed by Danny Boyle, co-directed by Loveleen Tandan, and written by Simon Beaufoy. It is an adaptation of the Boeke Prize winning and Commonwealth Writers' Prize nominated novel Q and A by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup. Tandan, who began as the film's casting director, was later appointed the co-director by Boyle because of her significant contributions to the film's production.[2]
Set and filmed in India, Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of a young man from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai who appears on Kaun Banega Crorepati (the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?) and exceeds people's expectations, arousing the suspicions of the game show host and of law enforcement officials.
After screenings at the Telluride Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, Slumdog Millionaire initially had a limited North American release on 12 November 2008 to critical acclaim and awards success, and later had a nationwide release in the United States on 26 December 2008 and in the United Kingdom on 9 January 2009. It premiered in Mumbai on 22 January 2009.[3]
Slumdog Millionaire won five of the six awards it was nominated for at the Critics' Choice Awards and all four of the awards it was nominated for at the Golden Globes. It has also been nominated for eleven BAFTA Awards and ten Academy Awards.
A Mumbai teen who grew up in the slums, becomes a contestant on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" He is arrested under suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown which explain why he knows the answers. |

WE CARE A LOT [1985] 320KBPS
We Care a Lot was the San Francisco-based funk metal band Faith No More's first album, released in 1985. Originally
distributed through Canadian label Mordam Records, it fell by the wayside and went largely unacknowledged until its
reissue a decade later (even the sleeve notes for the band's subsequent Slash releases refer to 1987's Introduce Yourself
as their debut LP).
The record has fairly low production values and Mosely's vocals are treated with large amounts of reverb.
The title track that opens the record is an early incarnation of what would become their first major single. In another
instance of the band 'covering' themselves, a second version of the album's track "As the Worm Turns" would be recorded in
1992 with Patton on vocals and released as a b-side during the Angel Dust era releases. The remainder of the cuts on this
album range from acoustic (the bizarrely subdued guitar solo "Jim"), dark metal (the raucous, unrelenting "Why Do You
Bother"), danceable rock ("The Jungle" and the riff-heavy instrumental "Pills For Breakfast") and the album's closer "New
Beginnings" gives a glimpse of the band's more melodic endeavours, which would be further showcased on the records that
followed.

THE REAL THING [1989] 192KBPS
The Real Thing is the third album by Faith No More, released in 1989. It was their first record with Mike Patton and
became their breakthrough. On this album, Faith No More advanced their sound range combining heavy metal, Progressive
metal, hip hop, funk, jazz, and soul. The music recording was complete by the time Patton (the singer for
experimental/thrash/funk band Mr. Bungle) came on board. Patton wrote the lyrics and recorded them over the already
finished music.[1]
Most known for its tracks "Falling to Pieces," and "Epic," whose video featured a fish flopping about on the ground, the
album's "Falling to Pieces" also became popular (its video was a favorite of MTV's Beavis and Butthead). The video for
"Epic" was subject to controversy because of the perceived treatment of the fish, which appears to be dying—it was in fact
slow motion footage; the fish was returned to its tank alive.[2] Reportedly, keyboardist Roddy Bottum stole the goldfish
from Icelandic singer Björk at a party she was throwing. He returned it to her after the shoot, which lasted mere seconds.
Mike Patton claimed during the band's "Live at the Wireless" performance for Australian radio station Triple J, in 1990,
that the title track was "Written after my girlfriend left me for Sebastian Bach."
The Real Thing is Faith No More's best selling album, selling 2 million copies in the US alone and around 4 million
worldwide. Singles released were "Epic", "From Out Of Nowhere", "Falling To Pieces" and "Edge Of The World" of this album.
"Epic" also ranked #30 in VH1's 40 Greatest Metal Songs in May 2006.
The album also features "War Pigs," a cover of the anti-war protest song by Black Sabbath, as well as "Edge of the World,"
a jazzy piano ballad about a paedophile. "Surprise! You're Dead!" also had a video that never saw much airplay on TV.
"Epic" is featured in the video games Rock Band, Burnout Paradise, and Singstar.

recorded by William Shapland on April 28, 1990 in the Brixton Academy, London during the tour supporting their third
studio album The Real Thing. It was released on August 20, 1990 Internationally and as an audio only version, under the
name of Live at the Brixton Academy, in the United Kingdom on February 4, 1991 with two bonus tracks from The Real Thing
sessions. It was later released on a 2 disc DVD set with the video compilation Who Cares a Lot?.

ANGEL DUST [1992] 320KBPS
Angel Dust is the fourth studio album by American rock band Faith No More, first released through Slash on June 8, 1992 in
Europe and the United States. It's the final studio album with long time guitarist "Big" Jim Martin and the second to
feature Mike Patton on vocals however it is the first album in which he had an influence on the band's sound,[2] as Patton
hadn't previously had input on the musical composition of the albums predecessor, The Real Thing, as it had all been
composed and recorded prior to his joining.[3]
It remains as Faith No More's highest-selling album outside the United States in which, as of July 2007, the album has
sold 664,000 copies there. The album and subsequent tour were very successful in Europe where it went Platinum for sales
of more than 1 million copies and Gold in Australia for selling more than 35,000 copies. Worldwide sales are around 3.0
million copies for this record.

KING FOR A DAY FOOL FOR A LIFETIME [1995] 320KBPS
King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime, released in 1995 (see 1995 in music), was the fifth studio album by Faith No More,
and first without longtime guitarist Jim Martin. Along with some more traditional Faith No More alternative rock sounds,
the album also contains a number of genre blends and parodies, from the smooth, soulful jazz-funk of "Evidence", to the
raucous heavy metal of "Cuckoo for Caca", to the lilting country western rock of "Take This Bottle", to the bossa nova of
"Caralho Voador". Overall, this album is considerably more straight-forward and less experimental than its predecessor,
Angel Dust. However, it slowly became a cult favorite among die-hard Faith No More fans. This is the only Faith No More
album to feature guitarist Trey Spruance, who left the group before the start of the supporting tour (and replaced by Dean
Menta).
The first single was the punk-like number "Digging the Grave". In the United States, the album debuted at #31 and has sold
223,000 copies as of July 2006 which was well below their previous efforts. The ensuing tour was cut short in the UK and
Europe as the public interest waned. Still the album did have impressive enough following to go Gold in Europe.In
Australia and New Zealand the band continued to get great support from their strong fan base. KFAD..FFAL went Gold in both
countries and their singles 'Digging The Grave, Evidence & Ricochet ' all charted well.King For A Day.. sold about 1.5
million copies and overall its figures were well below that of Angel Dust & The Real Thing.

Album of the Year is the sixth and final studio album by Faith No More. It was released on June 3, 1997 and was the only
album to feature the band's final guitarist Jon Hudson.
The album was generally received praise and acclaim from both critics and fans. However, the title of this album displays
the band's sense of irony, as the majority of the members of Faith No More were ultimately unhappy with the outcome of
Album of the Year and the direction it had taken them. Vocalist Mike Patton was quoted as saying that Faith No More's
demise could be partially related to a mutual feeling of artistic futility as a group: "We were starting to make bad
music."
During touring in support of Album of the Year, Faith No More frequently wore suits during performances.
The album sleeve did not feature printed lyrics; however, Mike Patton and Billy Gould did submit official lyrics to
fnm.com.
As of July 2007, the album has sold 213,000 copies in the U.S., significantly lower than the band's other albums. In other
charts it faired much better, peaking at #1 in Australia and New Zealand. It also went Platinum in Australia for sales of
more than 70,000 copies. The album only had minimal impact in the UK charts but it did go Gold for sales of more then
100,000 copies. The biggest downfall for this album was perhaps in the US where sales were significantly lower than
previous efforts, though it still managed to sell a million copies worldwide.

North by Northwest (1959) is a suspense film starring Cary Grant, directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and produced at MGM. Psycho (1960)
Psycho is a 1960 suspense/horror film directed by auteur Alfred Hitchcock, from the screenplay by Joseph Stefano about a psychotic killer. It is based on the novel of the same name by Robert Bloch, which was in turn inspired by the crimes of Wisconsin serial killer Ed Gein.[1] The film depicts the encounter between a secretary, Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), who is in hiding at a motel after embezzling from her employer, and the motel's owner, the lonely Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins).
It initially received mixed reviews but outstanding box-office returns, prompting a re-review which was overwhelmingly positive and led to four Academy Award nominations.
