Kaidi Tatham, Alex Phountzi, and Orin Walters aka "Neon Phusion" have "broken" the barriers of music with an evolutionary, innovative style that fuses techno, house, drum n' bass, nujazz, afro-cuban, afro-beat, and latin influences into a unique artform of its own. Heavily centered on layered strands of programmed and played percussion, "broken beat" was introduced with the inception of Neon Phusion's debut album.
Kaidi Tatham aka Agent K contributes his expansive music capabilities, playing the flute, keyboards and percussions amongst other instruments, and programming as well. Orin Walters aka Afronaught along with Alex Phountzi have impeccable programming skills that shine throughout the whole album. Seiji aka Paul Dolby even makes a guest appearance, lending a killer track-"Space Jam." Every track is diverse, some with vocals and instrumentation, others strictly instrumentation with killer percussion. Favorites of mine include "How Times Fly," The Future Ain't The Same As It Used 2 B," "Hot Ice," "Time Code," and Seiji's "Space Jam." |
